Rainwater Harvesting
The Rainwater Harvest System designed by InterTech is now available to industry after one year of testing in a commercial environment.
We collect rainwater on our roof. From there it is piped down into tanks on the third floor of the building. To prevent flooding there is an overflow system on each tank. The main advantage of having the rainwater collection tanks located high up in the building is that gravity feeds it all the way down so that it can be used to flush toilets and for other utility purposes.
Because the system is gravity-fed, no electrical power is wasted in pumping the water to where it’s needed. Simple.
